You have a lot on your plate and you’re excited about the opportunities in front of you; however, you worry about making the kind of impact you want, as quickly as you want. You have so many ideas you’d like to implement but most of the time you spend your days putting out fires and reacting to problems as they arise. You have very little time to work on the big picture vision that will allow you to show your strengths and move your team or company forward.

You are a high performer yet you know there is always room to grow your leadership skills. You want to learn how to how to delegate more effectively, contribute your ideas more confidently, and influence others with greater success. But you also know that you would benefit from working with someone who can provide the tools and support that will speed your development to becoming an even more effective and compelling leader.

That’s what our Group Coaching for High Performing Leaders Program is all about.

In this 4-month comprehensive and experiential program you will participate in a unique combination of group coaching, one-on-one coaching, partner calls and assessments. We will define your strengths, identify a specific high leverage behavior for you to develop, and then create a customized plan to help you close the gap between where you are and where you’d like to be.

Who Is This For?

This program is for:

  • Individuals who have been identified as the next level of leadership in anorganization
  • Individuals who are preparing to expand their role or who are looking to build the skills and experience that will take them to the next level of success
  • Individuals who have been promoted based on their technical expertise but who want more support in developing the skills needed to manage and lead people effectively

What Should I Expect?

First and foremost you should expect to be challenged and to stretch your current beliefs and behaviors. This is an experiential program and you will be implementing new ideas and practicing new approaches as soon as the first meeting. You will raise your self-awareness, learn from your peers, share your experiences and expand your network.

Our goal is to provide support for sustainable skill development and to help you design a plan that will ensure that your development as a leader will be quick, compelling and most importantly, visible. Having said that, we know that every situation is different and your most urgent concern may not be the same as others in the group. That’s why each plan has a customized focus so that it addresses what’s most important to you. You will benefit from engaging in
a group where others share your challenges yet individuals are developing a diverse range of skills.

Depending on your situation and input from your manager, here are some examples of the skills you may choose to develop:

  • Managing a dispersed team (for the first time or at a new level of complexity)
  • Working with a particular region (i.e. India, Asia, etc.)
  • Supporting goal follow through after a Leadership Development or High Potential training program
  • Giving feedback and praise more effectively
  • Delegating more effectively
  • Contributing your ideas with more clarity and confidence
  • Increasing your ability to influence others more successfully

How Does This Work?

The four-month program includes:

  • Group of up to 6 participants
  • One 30-minute pre-session call with the coach
  • One 90-minute Kick-off call
  • One 30-minute one-on-one coaching session
  • 8 sixty-minute group coaching calls (2 per month)
  • On-the-spot coaching, peer coaching, accountability and between-session
  • email support

What Will I Do?

You will participate on two calls per month over the four-month development program, which includes the following elements:

  • Development Area Identification
  • Plan Creation
  • Practice
  • Feedback

The first priority will be to select a high leverage skill for you to develop and improve upon during the program. We’ll identify this with help from your manager or other stakeholders in your organization.

Each call is structured to keep discussions on track yet it is dynamic and interactive. During each call you will have a chance to share your victories and challenges and for those who could use some additional support, they will receive laser coaching about an issue that is pressing for them. Others listening are able to relate the situation to their own experiences and either learn from or coach their peers.

At the end of the program you’ll complete a “Visible Impact Leadership Assessment” and get to see the tangible results of your efforts. Key stakeholders will be asked to describe the progress they’ve noted and the leaps you have made toward your goals. This coaching program is designed to ensure that your changes are sustainable, impactful and visible.
